Ready for forever homes! Spayed/neutered, vaxxed & chipped

Auggie

Bam Bam

Bam Bam

ShihTzu mix, male, 1 yr, 10 lbs

Auggie came to us after his owner realized he could no longer care for a puppy and decided to surrender him.

The vet has identified that Auggie has albinism, which means he sunburns easily and needs to live in a temperate climate. He will do best in a home with a secure yard with plenty of shade.

This lovable pup is very active and requires a young, playful companion. His best friends, who are also available for adoption, include Toby, an 18-month-old male Chiweenie; Shelby, a 1-year-old female Doodle/Maltipoo mix; and Tali, a 3- to 4-year-old female Maltese/Terrier mix.

Auggie is a cheerful dog who would thrive in an adults-only home or with a family with older children.

Will you be the one to make his forever-home dreams come true?

Bam Bam

Bam Bam

Bam Bam

Chiweenie/Corgi mix, male, 1 yr, 22 lbs

This handsome fellow is Bam Bam, a wonderful dog for someone who wants a truly faithful companion!

This sweetie came to us during another rescue operation, where we saved dogs belonging to an unhoused man who was letting them run loose on the streets. We got them to safety, but we were aware of another dog belonging to a neighbor who also allowed his dog to run loose, but he was unwilling to relinquish the dog. Fast forward a couple of weeks, and we learned that the owner was ready to give up the dog. We sent an independent rescuer and took Bam Bam straight to our vet, where he was examined, vaccinated, microchipped, and neutered.

Bam Bam was in a temporary foster home with a single guy in an apartment with no dogs when we first rescued him. He did wonderfully! He is now in a foster home with other dogs and cats, and we can see he is a dog that would love to be your one and only. He loves the attention and aims to please!

He is still learning to walk on leash with good manners, but he is a speedy learner! Bam Bam does well if you have to run an errand, but we would love him in a home where he has owners who are not gone for long hours during the day. A place with a safe and secure yard would be ideal as he loves to play and run around.

Bam Bam didn’t have the best life starting out, so we promised him a forever home where he’d be loved and cherished just as much as we do!

Beau

Bam Bam

Beau

Terrier mix, male, 8 mos, 12 lbs

Meet our beautiful blue-eyed boy, Beau!

This sweet little guy was being given away for free on the Next Door app, but thankfully, one of our team members saw the post and quickly reached out to the owner. They met at a 7-11, where the owner handed over the pup.

Beau is a little ball of sunshine! Initially, he may come to you feeling scared and shy, but with a bit of patience and love, he will open up and reveal his wonderful personality. We are seeking a home that already has another young, small-breed dog, as Beau does not seem to get along well with larger breeds. He cannot be an “only” dog, but if you don’t have one, no worries—we have several of his buddies available for adoption!

Beau needs a home where the owners are not away for long periods during the day. Since he is still a puppy, he may bark if left alone. A house with a safe and secure backyard is essential for this playful pup who loves to dash around outside. One fun discovery is that Beau is obsessed with water! He will chase and bite at the water while you tend to your plants, getting completely soaked! If there’s a pool, he will jump right in, so it’s vital that a pool area is fenced for safety.

Beau is still learning how to walk on a leash, and with outdoor access, he quickly picks up on potty training. He is such a loving fella and beams with happiness once he feels secure. We know that his forever home is out there waiting for him!

Cici

Cici

Beau

Poodle/Bichon mix, female, 7 yrs, 17 lbs

Cici was abandoned on the streets of San Fernando Valley. She was infested with fleas, undernourished, and had a mangled, broken front leg. Luckily, the kind person who found her contacted our rescue. We immediately took her to a specialist who initially thought that her leg couldn't be saved. Thanks to a successful surgery, Cici made a speedy recovery in just a few months!

Now, Cici is looking for a patient and loving forever home. She is a bit shy initially, so she needs a home with someone who can give her the time she needs to come out of her shell. A home with another dog would be ideal.

Cici needs an adult-only home with a safe and secure backyard where she can run around, as well as owners who are not gone for long hours during the day. Potential adopters should note that she requires full grooming every 6 weeks. If you're looking for a special, loving pup to add to your family, Cici might just be the perfect fit!

Coco

Cici

Coco

Toy Poodle, female, 10-11 yrs, 9 lbs

This is Coco, a fabulous Toy Poodle who is the perfect companion! Don't let her age fool you! She is a spunky senior for sure!

Coco would do best as your only doggie in an adult-only home or she could be with a calm older dog. She loves to hang out with you, but she is not needy. Coco is happy to sit on the couch by your side and keep you company.

She is a dog that does not need to go on walks but would prefer to just chill at home where she feels most comfortable. Coco does have a slight heart murmur and a slight trachea issue but does not need medication at this time.

She's had a full blood panel and a dental with extractions done, so she is all set to find her forever home!

Coco

Cici

Coco

Chihuahua/Pug, female, 5 yrs, 9 lbs

Coco was owner-surrendered and shelter-bound when the Foundation rescued her. It’s hard to believe anyone would give her up since the word that best describes Coco is EASY!

This cutie is a no-drama mama! She gets along with other dogs, people—even cats! Coco would make an excellent companion; she is both quiet and loving.

All Coco asks is a home with owners who are not gone for long hours during the day and a secure backyard that allows her to do her sunbathing!

Coco would be an excellent addition to any family. We know her forever home is out there!

Cupid

Cupid

Cupid

Chihuahua, male, 3-4 yrs, 12 lbs

This sweet boy came to us after being abandoned. When his owners moved, they dumped their furniture—and Cupid—in front of their house like trash. For weeks, he loyally waited on the couch for his owners to return.

A kind person contacted one of our team members and explained the situation. We immediately rescued Cupid and brought him into our Foundation.

Cupid was in terrible shape—starving and emaciated. It was unclear if he would survive. Fortunately, one of our dedicated fosters took him in and helped nurse Cupid back to health.

Today, Cupid is healthy, happy, and ready for his forever home!

He is sweet and playful, enjoys other dogs, and would love a canine companion in his new home! Cupid can be scared of people until he knows them. He cannot walk on a leash and needs a place with a secure yard.

Cupid has been through so much. He deserves the very best forever home.

Eddie

Cupid

Cupid

Chiweenie, male, 7-8 yrs, 10 lbs

Eddie was found on the streets of Santa Monica in very poor condition, covered in old scabs and rough lesions. It was evident that he had been abused and most likely hit.

We are seeking gentle, dog-savvy owners who understand that Eddie will need time to decompress and feel safe. Sudden movements around him can be frightening. He needs a home that allows him to relax and take things at his own pace so he can learn to trust.

An adult-only household would be ideal, with pet parents who are not away for long hours during the day and have a safe and secure backyard for him to play in. While he can thrive as your one and only, a calm dog in the home would also be acceptable.

Sweet Eddie did not deserve the treatment he received in his previous home, but we see the potential he has to become the best dog ever! He loves going on walks, and once he feels comfortable, he is a very loving companion.

Eli

Cupid

Fletcher

Yorkie/Cairn Terrier mix, male, 7-8 yrs, 10 lbs

Eli came to us after his elderly owner, who had had him since he was a puppy, sadly passed away. Following her death, he went to live with her son and daughter-in-law, but after a year, they felt unable to keep him. None of the other family members wanted him either.

Fortunately, a friend of the daughter-in-law knew about our rescue and reached out for help. When we saw this sweet boy, we knew we had to take him in! Eli was taken directly to our groomer for a much-needed full spa treatment, and then he went to his foster home, where they shared essential insights about his needs for a forever home.

We are looking for a calm and quiet household with owners who are home most of the day. Having another dog is acceptable, but ideally, Eli could be your one and only. He coexists well with other dogs but doesn’t typically interact with them. He seems to feel safer around men but is also comfortable with women. A home with a secure yard is ideal, as he enjoys spending time outside.

For the first few days to a week after his arrival, Eli may be frightened, so ensuring his safety and security is crucial to prevent him from escaping. We will require a dog gate at the front door at all times, and he should not be taken out of the home for 3 to 4 weeks while he settles in.

Eli is incredibly sweet, and once he feels safe in his surroundings, you will see how calm, quiet, and loving he is. He is very food-motivated, which can help in building his trust. His previous owner must have cared for him well, as his teeth are positively sparkling white!

Eli did not deserve to be abandoned after losing his owner, but we are confident that his perfect forever home is out there!

Fletcher

Fletcher

Fletcher

Australian Kelpie/Shepherd mix, male,

1 yr, 54 lbs

Fletcher is a remarkable catch—both stunning and intelligent!

We rescued this beautiful boy from an unhoused man who allowed him to roam freely on the streets, where he was in danger of being hit by a car. Concerned for his safety, we asked the owner if he would allow us to take Fletcher, and he agreed.

Fletcher is currently with our trainer and is doing wonderfully! He gets along well with other dogs, and our trainer believes that a home with another dog would be an excellent fit for him. He is also working on his leash training; he is quick to learn and very perceptive!

Fletcher is eager to find his forever home, one that will provide him with the love and security he needs to settle in comfortably. A place with a yard would be ideal for this young fella. We have no doubt he will make a fantastic addition to his forever family.

Forest

Fletcher

Forest

Maltese/Terrier, male, 1 yr, 12 lbs

Forest is the most handsome fella ever!

He came to us with his mom and two sisters (all have been adopted) when they were being given away for free out of a car on a busy street. Thankfully, a kind woman saw what was happening and took them home. She contacted us to see if we could take them into our foundation, and we said yes!

Forest loves everyone he meets! He needs to be placed in a home with another young and playful dog (he can't be an "only" dog) and with owners who are not gone long hours during the day. Forest is such a sweet boy with such a good personality that we want to find him the best forever home out there!

Gizmo

Fletcher

Forest

Pekingese, male, 18 mos, 9 lbs

This adorable little guy is Gizmo!

He is such a happy and loving little dog that gets along with everyone he meets! We are looking for a home with another young and playful dog and owners who do not work long hours during the day. A house with a safe and secure backyard would be ideal, as he loves doing zoomies with his doggy friends.

Although he needs some training with leash walking, he is a quick learner! Gizmo is a special little dog who deserves the best forever home out there!

Goldie

Juliette

Juliette

Chihuahua/Miniature Greyhound mix, female, 10 yrs, 10 lbs

Goldie was rescued from the Santa Monica Shelter after being surrendered by her owner’s daughter. The owner, an elderly woman, could no longer care for Goldie. The daughter had moved in to assist her mother but felt that caring for Goldie would be an additional burden.

We have a close partnership with this shelter, and when we learned about Goldie's situation, we jumped into action. We quickly placed her in one of our wonderful foster homes.

Goldie is a delightful and laid-back dog. Although she is calm and easygoing, she enjoys taking walks and playing with toys. Sweet and quiet, Goldie is also potty-trained with outdoor access. She truly is the perfect companion!

It’s unfortunate that Goldie was given up for no reason, a situation that occurs far too often. We believe that her forever home is out there, and she deserves nothing less than the best!

Juliette

Juliette

Juliette

Chihuahua, female, 2-3 yrs, 9 lbs

Mama Juliette and her beloved daughter Topaz were rescued from a heartbreaking hoarding situation in Bakersfield. When they arrived they were in rough shape—filthy and in desperate need of grooming, which included multiple baths.

Now, they are in a wonderful foster home where they receive socialization, home-cooked meals, and, most importantly, plenty of love! We are committed to keeping Juliette and Topaz together, as they are pair-bond and thrive in each other’s company.

An ideal forever home for them would be an adult-only environment where the owners are not away for extended periods each day. A small, safe, secure backyard for them to play and sunbathe would also be perfect.

Juliette and Topaz are truly sweet dogs. We are looking for a compassionate, patient home to help them transition into their new life.

These special girls deserve the best forever home possible!

Kaylee

Juliette

Kaylee

Westie/Cairn Terrier mix, female, 12 yrs, 10 lbs

Kaylee came to us after her owner surrendered her.

This doll will be happiest as your one and only. She will make a fantastic companion, and although she takes a little time to warm up to new people, she is great after she gets to know them.

Kaylee would do well in a home with a secure yard and owners who are not gone for long hours of the day.

She is a dear who is more than ready for a loving, forever home!

Lilo

Little Bear

Kaylee

Maltipoo, male, 6 yrs, 9 lbs

Lilo came to us with two other dogs, Lexie and Lucy, after they were seen being thrown out of a car window. The dogs were terrified and running into traffic, but fortunately, a kind-hearted person got them to safety. She contacted us to see if we could take them in—and we did!

This adorable guy can be quite shy when you first meet him and might take some time to warm up, but once he does, he will become your constant companion! He would do well in a home with a young, sweet, small breed dog or he could be adopted with his good pal, Cici. A secure backyard would be perfect for him as he loves to run around and bask in the sun.

He is a little anxious around kids, so a home without children would suit him best. He will be happiest with owners who are at home most of the day or work remotely. Being left alone for long periods wouldn't be good for him. Lilo needs grooming every 6-8 weeks and requires daily brushing to avoid matting. He's an amazing pup who has gone through a lot in his young life and deserves a loving, caring forever home!

Little Bear

Little Bear

Little Bear

Flat Coated Retriever/Border Collie mix, male, 6 mos, 20 lbs

This handsome fella is Little Bear! His name fits him perfectly, and he looks like a cuddly little black bear. We estimate he will weigh close to 40 lbs.

Little Bear would thrive in a home with another young and playful dog. We are looking for owners who are not gone for long hours during the day, and a place with a safe and secure backyard would be ideal for this playful pup!

Little Bear is such a sweet dog that gets along with everyone he meets! He even likes cats! He is a special little guy, and we know his forever home is out there!

Mini

Little Bear

Little Bear

Chihuahua, female, 11 mos, 12 lbs

Mini is a stunning red/white long-haired delight! She is a sweetie who loves everyone she meets!

We are looking for a home for her with another dog, owners who are not gone long hours during the day, and a secure backyard to run around and play.

She is a dog that loves to “talk” and chat with you, so be prepared for some fun conversations!

Mini is a wonderful little dog and will make the perfect puppy pal!

Ruby

Schnitzel

Schnitzel

Dwarf Chihuahua, female, 9 mos, 4 lbs

Ruby was rescued alongside her mother, Juliette, and sister, Topaz, from a dire hoarding situation in Bakersfield. When they arrived, they were filthy and in urgent need of grooming and care.

Ruby is currently in a wonderful foster home where she receives socialization, home-cooked meals, and, most importantly, lots of love!

Because Ruby is a Dwarf Chihuahua and will remain small, we are looking for owners with experience with tiny dogs.

An ideal forever home for this sweet girl would be an adult-only environment where the pet parents are not away for extended periods each day. A small, safe, secure backyard where Ruby can play and sunbathe would be perfect.

Ruby is a shy, loving pup who has been through a lot. We are looking for a compassionate, patient home to help her transition into her new life. She is ready for her forever home and deserves the best!

Schnitzel

Schnitzel

Schnitzel

Dachshund, male, 5 mos, 18 lbs

Meet Schnitzel, an adorable, sweet, purebred dapple. What’s not to love?!

Schnitzel came to us from owners who bought him from a breeder, but soon realized that a puppy was too much for them. They did not want to return him to the breeder, so they asked around for rescue references, and our name came up. We were more than happy to help, and they were very open to learning about the importance of adopting instead of shopping.

Schnitzel is a very special pup, and we are looking for Dachshund-savvy owners who know the breed well. He needs another young and playful dog buddy in the home and owners who are not gone for long hours during the day. Schnitzel would love a safe and secure backyard to run around in with his pal!

Schnitzel is vaccinated, microchipped, and will be neutered at the appropriate age. This little guy is a favorite among our crew, and we know you will love him too!

Shelby

Schnitzel

Shelby

Doodle/Maltipoo mix, female, 1 yr, 21 lbs

Sweet Shelby was given up at eight weeks old when her previous owners decided having a puppy was just “too much.” The owners planned to give her away to the first person who would take her, not caring who she ended up with. Thankfully, a friend intervened and asked if we could take her into our foundation.

Shelby, an energetic and joyful pup, requires a home with another young and playful dog. She will not be happy as an “only” dog. If you do not have another dog, we have adoptable pups who Shelby adores! We have Toby, an 18-month-old male Chiweenie; Augie, a 1-year-old male,  ShihTzu mix; and Tali, a 3-4-year-old female Maltese/Terrier mix.

Shelby is still very young and needs a puppy-proof home with a secure backyard to play. Ideal potential adopters are puppy-savvy and are not gone for long hours of the day. Please note that Shelby cannot be crated.

This little ball of energy is ALL puppy and needs patient, nurturing, and loving owners. This cheerful girl is one impressive doggie who deserves a caring forever home!

Shelly

Shelly

Shelby

Border Terrier/Brussels Griffon mix, female, 2 yrs, 12 lbs

This lovely girl is Shelly, and she’s even cuter in person!

Shelly is a happy, playful, and sweet dog. We rescued her from the Santa Monica Shelter, where she arrived as a stray with another dog. We brought her to a fantastic foster home that has other dogs and cats. Shelly is a lovable pup who gets along wonderfully with everyone.

We are looking for a home for her that has another young, playful dog and a safe, secure backyard for her to run around in. Ideal owners would be those who are not away for long hours during the day. Shelly is an amazing little pup who deserves the best forever home out there!

Tali

Shelly

Tali

Maltese/Terrier mix, female, 3 yrs, 16 lbs

We rescued Tali from the streets of Tijuana where she was dumped and left to fend on her own. Fortunately, a woman took her in and reached out to rescues in Los Angeles. We stepped up.

Tali is pure love and bouncy energy. She loves to play, wrestle, and do zoomies with every dog she meets, so an easy-going home that is ok with all that playful energy is a must!

Tali has never met a dog she didn't like, so this social girl will need another playful pup like her in the home. She's not built to be an "only" dog.

This charming pup has so much energy and zest for life that she needs a safe and secure backyard where she can run around. If you're looking for a sweet, loving addition to the family, then Tali's for you!

Toby

Shelly

Tali

Chiweenie, male, 18 mos, 15 lbs.

This boy is all about cuddles and love!

Toby was found abandoned on the streets. A kind woman treated him for bite wounds on his body and foxtails embedded in his paws. Sadly, the woman couldn't keep Toby, so he had to go to a boarding facility. During this time, she contacted us to see if we could take him.

When we picked him up, we noticed an issue with his eyes. We rushed him to our vet/specialist, and he was in so much pain that he had to be sedated. He was diagnosed with a deep ulcer in one eye and extremely dry eyes in both. He is now fully recovered and doing remarkably well!

We seek a very patient, loving, and nurturing home for our sweet boy. We know from experience that he will come to you very scared and may do low growling. It took his foster mom two days before he felt safe with her and her family, but once he knew everything was ok, Toby was all about love!

Toby will thrive with another young and playful dog in the home! He is AMAZING with other dogs and great with kids 13 and older. This energetic pup needs a safe and secure backyard to run around.

Men likely mistreated him so he will need some time to open up to feel safe and loved. We are looking for a home for this sweet, special boy that will give him the time he needs to get comfortable.

He's worth it!

Topaz

Winnie

Topaz

Chihuahua, female, 9 mos, 8 lbs

Topaz and mother Juliette were rescued from a heartbreaking hoarding situation in Bakersfield. When they arrived they were filthy and in desperate need of grooming.

Now, they are in a fantastic foster home where they receive socialization, home-cooked meals, and, most importantly, plenty of love! We are committed to keeping Topaz and Juliette together, as they have formed a strong bond and thrive in each other’s company.

An ideal forever home for these sweet girls would be an adult-only environment where the pet parents are not away for extended periods each day. A small, safe, secure backyard for them to play and sunbathe would also be perfect.

Juliette and Topaz are lovely dogs who have been through a lot. We are looking for a compassionate, patient home to help them transition into their new life.

These special girls deserve the best forever home possible!

Wila

Winnie

Topaz

Border Terrier/MinPin/Schnauzer mix, female, 1yr, 17 lbs

Wila came to us from Tijuana. Her mother, Winnie, was pregnant and starving when a kind woman took her in. Sweet Wila is the only pup of the litter who survived.

The daughter and mother are good-natured, loving, non-aggressive, and great with other dogs. Their amazing foster home has nothing but wonderful things to say about them.

Wila and her mother are have a strong bond; ideally, we would like to place them together. However, we would consider separating them should we find the perfect placements.

These girls have been through so much and deserve loving and caring forever homes.

Winnie

Winnie

Winnie

MinPin mix, female, 3 yrs, 12 lbs

Winnie was pregnant and scrounging for food while living on the streets of Tijuana. A kind woman took her in where Winnie gave birth, but only one pup survived—a little girl, Wila.

Winnie was in a bad way when we rescued her. With medical treatment—and lots of TLC—she is in perfect shape now and ready for a forever home!

She is sweet, loving, non-aggressive, and great with other dogs. Her amazing foster home has nothing but wonderful things to say about her and her daughter, Wila.

Winnie and Wila are pair-bonded, and, ideally, we would like to place them together. However, we would consider separating them should we find the right placements.

These doggies have been through so much and deserve loving and caring forever homes.
