This little darling will thrive in a calm, loving environment and would be perfect for someone who works from home or is retired. Poodle/Bichon mix, female, 8-9 yrs, 15 lbs
Cici was abandoned on the streets of San Fernando Valley. She was infested with fleas, undernourished, and had a mangled, broken front leg. Luckily, the kind person who found her contacted our rescue. We immediately took her to a specialist who initially thought that her leg couldn't be saved. Thanks to a successful surgery, Cici made a speedy recovery in just a few months!
Now, Cici is looking for a patient and loving forever home. She is a bit shy initially, so she needs a home with someone who can give her the time she needs to come out of her shell. She would be happy to be your one and only.
Cici needs an adult-only home with a secure backyard where she can run around, as well as owners who are not gone for long hours during the day. Potential adopters should note that she requires full grooming every 6 weeks. If you're looking for a special, loving pup, Cici will make an excellent companion!

Purebred Toy Poodle, female, 12 yrs, 9 lbs
This is Coco, a fabulous Toy Poodle who is the perfect companion! Don't let her age fool you: she is a spunky senior for sure!
Coco would do best as your only doggie in an adult-only home or she could be with a calm older dog. SWhile she loves to hang out with you, she is not needy. Coco is happy to sit on the couch by your side and keep you company.
She is a dog that does not need to go on walks but would prefer to just chill at home where she feels most comfortable.
She's had a full blood panel and a dental with extractions done, so she is all set to find her forever home!

Chihuahua, male, 3-4 yrs, 12 lbs
This sweet boy came to us after being abandoned. When his owners moved, they dumped their furniture—and Cupid—in front of their house like trash. For weeks, he loyally waited on the couch for his owners to return.
A kind person contacted one of our team members and explained the situation. We immediately rescued Cupid and brought him into our Foundation.
Cupid was in terrible shape—starving and emaciated. It was unclear if he would survive. Fortunately, one of our dedicated fosters took him in and helped nurse Cupid back to health.
Today, Cupid is healthy, happy, and ready for his forever home!
He is sweet and playful, enjoys other dogs, and would love a canine companion in his new home! Cupid can shy with people until he knows them. He does not like to walk on a leash and needs a home with a secure yard.
Cupid has been through so much. He deserves the very best forever home.

Chiweenie, male, 7-8 yrs, 18 lbs
Eddie was found on the streets of Santa Monica in very poor condition, covered in old scabs and rough lesions. It was evident that he had been abused and most likely hit.
We are seeking gentle, dog-savvy owners who understand that Eddie will need time to decompress and feel safe. He will thrive in a home that allows him to relax and take things at his own pace so he can learn to trust.
An adult-only household would be ideal, with pet parents who are not away for long hours during the day and have a safe and secure backyard for him to play in. While he would be happy as your one and only, a calm dog in the home would also be acceptable.
Sweet Eddie did not deserve the treatment he received in his previous home, but we see the potential he has to become the best dog ever! He loves going on walks, and once he feels comfortable, he is a very loving companion.

Westie/Cairn Terrier mix, male,
7-8 yrs, 10 lbs
Eli came to us after his elderly owner, who had had him since he was a puppy, sadly passed away. Following her death, he went to live with her son and daughter-in-law, but after a year, they felt unable to keep him. None of the other family members wanted him either.
Fortunately, a friend of the daughter-in-law knew about our rescue and reached out for help. When we saw this sweet boy, we knew we had to take him in! Eli was taken directly to our groomer for a much-needed full spa treatment, and then he went to his foster home, where they shared essential insights about his needs for a forever home.
We are looking for a calm and quiet household with owners who are home most of the day. Ideally, Eli would be your one and only. He coexists well with other dogs but doesn’t typically interact with them. While he is comfortable with women, Eli is very attached to men, so a man in the household is required. A home with a secure yard is ideal, as he enjoys spending time outside.
This little guy loves his walks and is great on a leash, so an owner who enjoys walks, too, would be perfect!
Eli is incredibly sweet, and once he feels safe in his surroundings, you will see how calm, quiet, and loving he is. His previous owner must have cared for him well, as his teeth are in excellent condition!
This love-bug did not deserve to be abandoned after losing his owners, but we are confident that his perfect forever home is out there!

Maltipoo, male, 5 mos, 17 lb
Freddie’s journey is one of resilience and hope. When the Carson Shelter reached out for help, we welcomed this sweet puppy with open arms. Though he came in as a stray with his mother and brother, Freddie’s path wasn’t as smooth—he was returned after just one day due to concerns about tremors. But we saw his spark and knew he deserved a chance to shine.
That’s when we stepped in and took Freddie to our wonderful veterinarian, who quickly discovered the reason behind his wide stance and wobbly gait: cerebellar hypoplasia. This non-progressive, congenital condition simply means Freddie moves with a little extra wobble—but it doesn’t hold him back from living a joyful life!
Freddie is an absolute delight—full of happiness, playfulness, and love! His wobbly steps don’t stop him from enjoying life and exploring with curiosity. He would thrive in a relaxed, patient home with another gentle, playful dog who won’t mind sharing a bed or being a cuddly companion. Because of his unique gait, Freddie needs a single-level home (no stairs), and any pool must be securely fenced. A safe, secure yard and owners who are home often would make his world complete!
Freddie is ready to fill his forever home with love and joy—we just know the perfect family is waiting for him, and we can’t wait to see his happy ending!

Pekingese, male, 18 mos, 9 lbs
This adorable little guy is Gizmo!
He is such a happy and loving little dog that gets along with everyone he meets! We are looking for a home with another young and playful dog and owners who do not work long hours during the day. A house with a safe and secure backyard would be ideal, as he loves doing zoomies with his doggy friends.
Although he needs some training with leash walking, he is a quick learner! Gizmo is a special little dog who deserves the best forever home out there!

Chihuahua/Miniature Greyhound mix, female, 10 yrs, 10 lbs
Goldie was rescued from the Santa Monica Shelter after being surrendered by her owner’s daughter. The owner, an elderly woman, could no longer care for Goldie. The daughter had moved in to assist her mother but felt that caring for Goldie would be an additional burden.
We have a close partnership with this shelter, and when we learned about Goldie's situation, we jumped into action. We quickly placed her in one of our wonderful foster homes.
Goldie is a delightful and laid-back dog. Although she is calm and easygoing, she enjoys taking walks and playing with toys. Sweet and quiet, Goldie is also potty-trained with outdoor access. She truly is the perfect companion!
It’s unfortunate that Goldie was given up for no reason, a situation that occurs far too often. We believe that her forever home is out there, and she deserves nothing less than the best!

Chihuahua/Spaniel mix, male, 16 week, 6 lbs
Meet Jasper, one of three adorable brothers searching for their forever families!
These sweet pups came to our Foundation thanks to an independent rescuer who had pulled these boys from a shelter and reached out to us for help. We were thrilled to welcome them into our care!
At just around 16 weeks old, Jasper, Joey, and Jinx are bundles of joy who light up every room. While we think they are Chihuahua/Spaniel mixes, we are not 100% certain.
We are accepting applications for each puppy and ideally seek homes with another young, playful dog. For families without another pup, adopting a pair—or even all three brothers—would be a wonderful way to keep them happy and social.
Because they are still so young, these puppies need plenty of love, attention, and supervision. Homes where someone is around most of the day would be ideal for helping them learn, grow, and thrive.
Jasper, Joey, and Jinx are irresistibly lovable and full of charm. They are ready to bring endless joy and affection to their forever homes—and they truly deserve the very best!

Chihuahua/Pug mix, male, 4 mos, 6 lbs
We rescued Jax and his sister, Juno, after an independent rescuer we work with asked for help. An owner with nine dogs was giving them away to anyone willing to take them, which, as we know from experience, is very risky. The Forgotten Dog Foundation, along with our partner rescues, intervened, and we took in the two youngest pups.
These adorable Chuggs are looking for a home with adults only or a family with older children, where the owners are not away from home for long hours each day.
Juno and Jax are friendly, playful pups who get along well with both dogs and cats. Ideally, we would like to adopt the siblings together, but we are open to separate placements if another young, friendly dog is living in the home.
We are incredibly grateful to have rescued Juno and Jax from an uncertain fate and are confident that their perfect forever home is out there!

Chihuahua/Spaniel mix, male, 16 week, 4 lbs

Poodle/Chihuahua mix, female, 4 yrs, 5lbs
Meet Josie—an irresistibly adorable and playful little darling!
Josie joined us from a local shelter when her previous owner surrendered her because they had too many dogs to give each the attention they deserved.
When Josie arrived, we made sure she received the very best care from our veterinarian. She had a few challenges—she wasn’t spayed, had debris in her ears causing infections, and was dealing with tapeworms from a flea infestation—but Josie’s resilience shone through every step of the way.
Thanks to her wonderful veterinary team, Josie is now fully healthy and ready for her forever home!
Josie is a sweet, lively companion! She would thrive in an adult-only home with another playful dog and owners who are home often. Because of her size, owners must have experience with small dogs.
Josie is ready to share her joyful spirit with her forever family—we know her perfect match is out there, just waiting to welcome her home!

Blue Merle Australian Cattle Dog, male,

Meet Laddy, an affectionate young pup searching for his forever home!
Sweet-natured and easygoing, Laddy was rescued from the Moreno Valley Shelter after being found as a stray. Thanks to a team effort, he is now safe in our care and ready for a new beginning.
Laddy is all about the love! He gets along well with dogs, cats, and people alike! We are seeking a home where his owners are not away for long hours and where he has a playful canine pal to keep him company.
An ideal home for Laddy would have a secure yard where he can play and explore safely. This special boy truly deserves the best forever family!

Papillon/Chihuahua mix, female,
3 yrs, 12 lbs
Lilac was found on the streets after her owners abandoned her. People in the neighborhood reported that she waited on the same street in the same spot for over a week, waiting for her people to return.
Lilac is great with people and is very loving. This beautiful girl is looking for a calm home, as she can be reactive to chaos. Lilac is a playful pup and needs an other dog in the home to pal around with. Because she can be an alpha girl, we do not recommend a placement with a dominant dog.
A home with a secure yard where Lilac can run around and play would be ideal, as would be owners who are not gone for long periods during the day.
This little lovebug is so ready for her forever home. Will you be the one to make her doggie dreams come true?

Maltipoo, male, 6 yrs, 9 lbs
Lilo came to us with two other dogs, Lexie and Lucy, after they were seen being thrown out of a car window. The dogs were terrified and running into traffic, but fortunately, a kind-hearted person got them to safety. She contacted us to see if we could take them in—and we did!
This adorable guy can be quite shy when you first meet him and might take some time to warm up, but once he does, he will become your constant companion! He would do well in a home with a young, sweet, small breed dog. A secure backyard would be perfect for him as he loves to run around and bask in the sun.
He is a little anxious around kids, so a home without children would suit him best. He will be happiest with owners who are at home most of the day or work remotely. Being left alone for long periods wouldn't be good for him. Lilo needs grooming every 6-8 weeks and requires daily brushing to avoid matting. He's an amazing pup who has gone through a lot in his young life and deserves a loving, caring forever home!

Havanese/Poodle mix, male, 1 yr, 14 lbs
Marshall’s journey began when a backyard breeder no longer wanted him. We welcomed him into our foundation right away, providing a fresh groom and a thorough veterinary checkup to ensure his health and well-being.
Marshall is a gentle, affectionate pup who needs a bit of time to warm up to new people. He’ll thrive with patient, loving owners and would love to have another friendly pal as a companion. A home with owners who are not away for long hours during the day and a safe, secure yard for running around and playing would be ideal.
This sweet boy is a young pup with so much love to give, and we are confident his perfect forever home is just around the corner!

Chihuahua, female, 11 mos, 12 lbs
Mini is a stunning red/white long-haired delight! She is a sweetie who loves everyone she meets!
We are looking for a home for her with another dog, owners who are not gone long hours during the day, and a secure backyard to run around and play.
She is a dog that loves to “talk” and chat with you, so be prepared for some fun conversations!
Mini is a wonderful little dog and will make the perfect puppy pal!

Chihuahua/MinPin mix, male, 6 yrs, 18 lbs
Nugget was found abandoned at a park with a female dog and day-old puppies. Thankfully, the kind woman who found them reached out to us for help, and we immediately sent a volunteer to pick up the family. One of our rescue partners took in the mama and the puppies, and we took the dad.
We have fully vetted Nugget, including vaccinations, neutering, and a dental. This sweet fella is now in a foster home and doing absolutely wonderfully!
Nugget is such an easygoing dog who loves everyone! We would love to see him in a home with another sweet dog and owners who are not away for long hours during the day. Nugget would love a home with a yard and seems perfectly potty-trained with outdoor access. He's not a barker and is fine when you have to leave the house. Nugget loves his walks and is good in the car.
Nugget is such a good, happy dog and has so much love to give! He will make a loving companion and deserves a loving forever home.

Bichon/Poodle mix, female, 8 yrs, 21 lbs
This absolutely perfect girl is Pebbles! Seriously. BEST. DOG. EVER.
Pebbles’ journey with us began in 2021. She arrived at a local shelter with a leg injury and faced the risk of euthanasia. Our team acted quickly and brought her into our care. We ensured she received the surgery she needed. With time, love, and excellent veterinary care, Pebbles made a full recovery. She blossomed into the happy, easygoing girl she is today.
Pebbles was adopted soon after, but she was returned to us when her family’s circumstances changed. We are looking for a forever home for our sweet girl. She would love another nice, playful dog she can pal around with. She loves to initiate play and run around, chasing her doggie friends.
Pebbles is an amazingly good dog all around. She is calm, mellow, playful, happy, and so loving. Her favorite thing—next to sunbathing—is belly rubs. We are looking for a home with owners who are not away for long periods. A safe, secure backyard is also important.
This lovebug has been through a lot in the last year. Now she is ready to join a loving family where she will fit right in. Pebbles really is a perfect dog and will not disappoint. She deserves the best forever home out there!

Border/Norfolk Terrier, female,
3 yrs, 12 lbs
Meet Phoebe, an adorable and happy little lady!
Phoebe's journey to us began when a cat rescuer we work with received a call from her neighbor about a small dog abandoned on the streets and chased by coyotes. Thankfully, the neighbor rescued her and kept her safe overnight.
Our cat rescue friend checked for a microchip (none found) and searched for an owner for about a week, but no one came forward to claim her. We welcomed this sweet girl into our foundation and ensured she received a thorough veterinary checkup.
Phoebe is an absolute delight! She would thrive in a home with another playful, good-natured dog, or with owners who are home often and committed to continuing her socialization. Phoebe likely never experienced the love every dog deserves, so we promised her a future filled with warmth, happiness, and care.

Maltipoo mix, male, 3 yrs, 12 lbs
Meet Romeo—a little ball of fluff bursting with energy, joy, and playfulness! He’s truly one of the most entertaining and spirited dogs we’ve ever met.
Romeo’s story began in heartbreak. He was found alone on the streets of Bakersfield—abandoned, severely matted, filthy, flea-infested, and limping on a back leg. Thankfully, an independent rescuer we work with brought him to safety and reached out to us for help. We happily welcomed him into our foundation.
When Romeo arrived, we rushed him to our orthopedic specialist. X-rays revealed a severe leg fracture that required emergency surgery, which was performed immediately to give him the best chance at recovery.
This resilient little guy amazed us all with how quickly and bravely he healed. Now fully recovered, Romeo is ready to find his forever home!
Romeo will thrive in a home with another playful dog and owners who are not away for long hours. A safe, secure yard is ideal, as he loves to run and play with his friends, whether two-legged or four-legged!
Despite all he’s been through, Romeo remains incredibly loving, good-natured, and full of happy energy.
If you’re seeking a joyful, affectionate companion, Romeo could be the perfect addition to your family!

Dwarf Chihuahua, female, 9 mos, 4 lbs
Ruby was rescued alongside her mother, Juliette, and sister, Topaz, from a dire hoarding situation in Bakersfield. When they arrived, they were filthy and in urgent need of grooming and care.
Ruby is currently in a wonderful foster home where she receives socialization, home-cooked meals, and, most importantly, lots of love!
Because Ruby is a Dwarf Chihuahua and will remain small, we are looking for owners with experience with tiny dogs.
An ideal forever home for this sweet girl would be an adult-only environment where the pet parents are not away for extended periods each day. A small, safe, secure backyard where Ruby can play and sunbathe would be perfect.
Ruby is a shy, loving pup who has been through a lot. We are looking for a compassionate, patient home to help her transition into her new life. She is ready for her forever home and deserves the best!

Maltese mix, female, 3 yrs, 16 lbs
We rescued Tali from the streets of Tijuana where she was dumped and left to fend on her own. Fortunately, a woman took her in and reached out to rescues in Los Angeles. We stepped up.
Tali is pure love and bouncy energy. She loves to play, wrestle, and do zoomies with every dog she meets, so an easy-going home that is ok with all that playful energy is a must!
Tali has never met a dog she didn't like, so this social girl will need another playful pup like her in the home. She's not built to be an "only" dog.
This charming pup has so much energy and zest for life that she needs a safe and secure backyard where she can run around. If you're looking for a sweet, loving addition to the family, then Tali's for you!

Chiweenie, male, 18 mos, 15 lbs.
This boy is the ultimate cuddly love-bug!
Toby was found abandoned on the streets. A kind woman treated him for bite wounds on his body and foxtails embedded in his paws. Sadly, the woman couldn't keep Toby, so he had to go to a boarding facility. During this time, she contacted us to see if we could take him.
We seek a very patient, loving, and nurturing home for our sweet boy. He may be shy initially. It took his foster mom two days before he felt safe with her and her family, but once he knew everything was ok, Toby was all about the love!
Toby will thrive with another young and playful dog in the home! He is AMAZING with other dogs and will do best in an adults-only home. This energetic pup needs a safe and secure backyard to run around.
Men likely mistreated him so he will need some time to open up to feel safe and loved. We are looking for a home for this special boy that will give him the time he needs to settle in. He's worth it!

Maltese/Westie mix, male, 8 yrs, 12 lbs
Sweet Toto’s journey is a true story of transformation! Though he arrived as an owner surrender, battling fleas and allergies, his loving spirit never faded.
Now, Toto is thriving in a wonderful foster home—healthy, happy, and loving every minute!
Toto is loyal and affectionate, ready for snuggles and companionship. He dreams of a loving home where he’s the center of attention, with people who have plenty of time to shower him with love—and perhaps a yard where he can play and soak up the sunshine.
Whether as your one-and-only or with a gentle canine friend, Toto’s loving nature shines through every day. He’s truly a joy to be around—very well-behaved and waiting to bring happiness to a home that will cherish him as much as we do!

Chihuahua mix, female, 3 yrs, 8 lbs
Sweet Winnie is part of a mother and son bonded pair. Winnie and he son Waffles are the best dogs ever!
Winnie and Waffles came to us after our vet tech alerted us that an unhoused man had surrendered the dogs because he couldn't properly care for them. These poor pups were living in absolutely horrible conditions, where they stayed in filthy boxes, sometimes tied up. We got them straight to our groomer and then to our vet, where they were examined and vaccinated.
Winnie is approximately 3 years old, and Waffles is about 8 months old. They are a beautifully bonded pair that get along perfectly! All they ever had was each other during those rough times, so it's easy to understand why they're so attached. We would love to keep them together, but are willing to place her in a home with another young, playful dog.
Owners who work from home or are not gone for long hours during the day would be ideal, as pups have been through so much and love human companionship.
If you are looking for two perfect dogs to add to your family, then Winnie and Waffles are the pups for you!

Chihuahua mix, male, 8 mos, 6 lbs
