Become a foster parent and help save a dog’s life! When we get a plea about a dog in need, we of course want to save them all, but without a safe and loving place for them to go, we often must network them so that another rescue with room can take them in—and sometimes they can’t either. This is where YOU come in! 

Our foster program is a great way to make a difference. Fostering is fun and fulfilling and can be a game-changer in a dog-in-need’s life. We provide everything: beds, food, treats, toys, baby gates, crates, etc. All medical expenses for your foster are covered by us while the dog is in your care and waiting for their forever home. On intake, our new rescue dogs get groomed and examined and treated at our vet offices All get vaccinated, spayed/neutered and microchipped and we require a martingale collar with our tags on at all times.

  The Forgotten Dog Foundation is always looking for volunteers to help us at our monthly adoption events held currently on Main Street in Santa Monica. We also need our adoptable dogs networked on social media and sometimes need dog walkers. 

Transport is a huge part of what we do, including shuttling dogs to vet appointments or picking up a new rescue from the shelter or driving to an area where a stray dog has been found, or getting a dog from an individual/ family home where a dog is being relinquished to us. And we are happy to cover gas costs.

  Our Sanctuary Dogs need your support! There are some dogs that have medical or special needs which makes it challenging to find them a suitable home. However, they are no less deserving of love and safety. We provide a safe haven for these special dogs and offer them a nurturing environment to spend their remaining days.

By supporting our Sanctuary Program, you can help fund the necessary ongoing medical care our dogs need to thrive. Your kindness will make a significant difference in the lives of these deserving dogs by ensuring they lead happy and healthy lives.
