**PLEASE READ GIA’S BIO THOROUGHLY. ALL REQUIREMENTS MUST BE MET IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED.**

This little scruffy muffin is Gia! Isn’t she adorable? Gia came to us as an owner surrender who was using her to breed and sell her puppies. When he was done breeding her and became overwhelmed with dogs, he contacted us to take Gia and her two puppies, Charlie and Milo. They are all up for adoption now! Gia is a 4 year old/17lb Shih Tzu/Terrier mix (definitely more terrier!). She is as sweet as can be and loves every person she meets! This cutie pie CANNOT be an only dog. She definitely needs another doggy friend in the home that is playful. She does not do well with female dogs and prefers male dogs, so a home with a female pup will not work. Gia has that terrier high pitch bark and she loves to “bark talk” so a quiet apartment/condo complex would not be good. She is peppy, happy, and very affectionate with people and is good with kids 10 years old or older. She doesn’t necessarily need a yard, but a heads up is that she does better with going potty when there is opened outdoor access for her to go to. She does potty in the house once in awhile and can be a bit stubborn in that department. We won’t adopt her to a home that will crate her. She has been through too much in her life to be crated, and honestly she doesn’t need it. She definitely needs a home where the owners are not gone long hours during the day, or even better, work from home as she does tend to bark when you are not around. Gia is such a sweet girl who seems to just love life! We want this precious girl to be loved and cherished in the best home ever!

WE ONLY ADOPT IN LOS ANGELES AND SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA AS AN IN PERSON HOME CHECK AND TRIAL PERIOD ARE REQUIRED.
